The 102.5fm WDVE Pittsburgh morning radio show, still number one made a decision to remove beloved Pittsburgh personality Jim Krenn the co-host and branded name for over two decades pulled off of the airways on December 6th, 2011 with no explanation other than '...the station is going in a different direction.'Friends, fans and listeners have come out in mass on social media with questions, anger and loving support. Mr. Krenn is still under contract and limited in what he can say from his closed door meetings with parent company Clear Channel Communications.
Today Jim Krenn posted a message on his Facebook page.
I can't say much at this time because I am still under contract. I just wanted to thank you for giving me one helluva ride on DVE. Your loyalty and support is the main reason I've had the privilege of hanging out with you in the mornings for over two decades. It has been incredible reading all your posts. Your kind words and loyalty mean the world to me. As you know I feel the same loyalty towards you - Pittsburgh loyalty! Words cannot express the gratitude I have for you – the people who have always stood up for me, believed in me, and have always had my back. You have even walked by my side and prayed for me, helping me find my lost dog. You are Pittsburghers, and I am proud to be one of you!
